In-Car Video on the Cheap PV1 for $150For not much more than a mobile TFT monitor, the Pacific Digital PV1 5x7 Personal Media Player gets you mp3 and XviD playback as well. Maybe more importantly, it also gives you USB host capability, and apparently works for both flash drives and portable hard drives. As I usually do, I'll probably buy the thing whether I need it or not (I don't). I'm so far behind on my revolutionary new uses for cheap junk I don't know if I'll ever get out from under it. Be that as it may, this piece of electronics seems like it'd be an extremely easy thing to put in a car. 9.5V in, and either a Compact Flash or USB hard drive hidden away, and it's party time in the back seat. Or the driver seat if you mount it in the center of the steering wheel. Another nice thing is it has A/V outputs, so you use it indoors as well. But if you already have 3 or 4 media centers in various stages of completion, why would you? Permalink Email This Post a Comment (0) | ||
